Vectotech presents available capacity from min 1TB to 16TB max.
V-MAX interface ready for comfort work by compatible devices.
V-MAX is an internal solid state drive with a SATA III 6Gbps interface and 3D NAND TLC memory.
The listed capacity options are 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, 8TB and 16TB.
Sequential read speeds reach up to 550 MB/s and sequential write speeds up to 530 MB/s. Actual performance depends on the host system and workload.

Check that your computer supports a 2.5-inch SATA drive and has a compatible drive bay and SATA connection.
The 4TB specification lists dimensions of 100 × 69.85 × 7 mm. Check your computer manufacturer’s requirements for drive dimensions and supported capacity before installation.
The V-MAX 4TB technical specification is available in PDF format. You can open, download and print the document.
The numerical specifications in this document apply to the documented 4TB configuration.
The V-MAX 4TB specification lists compatibility with SATA 1.5Gbps, 3Gbps and 6Gbps interfaces.
Older SATA interfaces can limit transfer speeds. Maximum performance requires a compatible SATA 6Gbps connection.
The documented 4TB configuration uses BiCS4 TLC NAND flash.
The specification also lists LDPC error correction, advanced wear leveling, bad block management and over-provisioning.
The specification lists random read performance of 98,000 IOPS and random write performance of 88,000 IOPS for the 4TB configuration.
These are reference results for a 1GB burst workload. The stated IOMeter test conditions include 4KB transfers and a queue depth of 32. Actual performance depends on the platform and flash configuration.
The specification lists a reference endurance figure of 13,685 TBW for the documented 4TB BiCS4 TLC configuration, based on the JEDEC219A client endurance workload.
Endurance varies with flash configuration, platform, workload and write amplification. This reference figure does not establish a guaranteed service life or a warranty write limit.
MTBF means Mean Time Between Failures. The specification lists a reliability estimate of 1.5 million hours and states that the result is based on simulation.
MTBF is a statistical reliability measure, not the expected lifespan of an individual drive.
The detailed power table lists 2.8W during sequential reading, 3.2W during sequential writing and 1.5W at idle for the 4TB configuration.
The measurements were taken at a 5V supply. Actual power consumption may vary with the flash configuration and host platform.
The V-MAX 4TB specification lists an operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C and a storage temperature range of −40°C to 85°C.
Operating temperature is measured by the drive’s internal sensor. Airflow is recommended during heavy workloads.
Yes. The V-MAX 4TB specification lists support for TRIM and SMART commands.
TRIM helps manage storage space that is no longer in use. SMART provides information that compatible software can use to monitor drive health. Availability depends on the operating system, controller and software.
The specification lists end-to-end data path protection, LDPC error correction, SmartECC, SmartRefresh, advanced wear leveling and bad block management.
These features support data integrity and flash management. Regular backups are still recommended.
Yes. Thermal throttling is included in the V-MAX 4TB feature list.
It can reduce performance to help manage drive temperature. The specification does not state its activation temperature or the amount of performance reduction.
The 4TB specification lists a non-operational shock test of 1,500G, vibration tests covering 20Hz to 2,000Hz, and an 80cm free-fall test.
These are specified test conditions for an unpowered drive, not a guarantee against damage from accidental drops or impacts.
